The following few pages will introduce you to PayPal and using it with Web Studio.

You have to signup with PayPal to take advantage of their shopping cart  and credit card services. It is quick and easy.

Once you've signed up with PayPal you will come back to WebStudio where you create your product catalog. You do this by simply adding photos of your products to your page; then arrange them to suit your overall site design. Then you add PayPal "add to cart" buttons for each of yor products. You get these in the CoolStuff gallery. Once you drag one onto the page, a dialog will ask your for certain information about your products and your PayPal account. You enter this for each product's button. Then, when a customer clicks on one of your buttons, the chosen product is added to their cart, they're taken to the PayPal site to view their cart, check out or the are sent back to your site so they can continue shopping.

Here's the steps you'll take to build your store's product catalog and link it to the PayPal payment system.

  1. Create a page in Web Studio.
  2. Add photos of your products and arrange them to suit your overall site design
  3. Add text objects for each product to describe them... state prices, and offer any other info you need.
  4. Go to the CoolStuff gallery and double click on the Buy Now section.
  5. Drag a button from the PayPal gallery onto the page.
  6. Enter the info about your product into the resulting dialog.
  7. Enter the info about your PayPal account into the dialog. The program will remember this info for you when you add additional PayPal buttons to your site.
  8. Go to the Preview menu and preview the page you're working on.
  9. Press one of the PayPal buttons and you'll be taken to your PayPal shopping cart page.
  10. That's it.

The following pages will show you what it is like to signup for PayPal, how to fill out the info in the WebStudio dialog, how to construct your product catalog.

One important thing, don't use the Buttons that PayPal offers you, they require technical know-how. Web Studio will do all of that for you automatically, and of course, that is the whole idea!
