Text with Web Studio
Web Studio's main goal is to make creating web page easy and fun. One of the biggest factors that make it not fun in other
programs is that you can't just put things on the page where you want. You have to figure out how to put things where you
want in those programs.

Web Studio enables you to put things exactly where you want by using objects. Objects can contain many different things
and can be placed wherever you want.

Text objects contain text and can be placed wherever you want.
Adding Text to Your Page With Web Studio
Adding text to a page is simple and fun. You can insert a file from disk by choosing Insert Text From File. You can insert a new
text object by choosing Insert New Text Object from the Insert Menu. It will appear on the page in the upper left corner ready for
you to enter your text.

The Text Gallery
You can also browse through the Text Gallery until you find a font you like. Then drag it onto the page. The result is a
text object ready to edit with the font you chose, in the spot your dropped it.

The Text Gallery and Web Safe Fonts
The Text Gallery contains a visual preview of each of the fonts you have in your system. Since creating web pages with Web Studio is
a very visual process, it just makes sense to enable you to choose your fonts visually instead of from a list of font names.

The Text Gallery also tells you, visually, which fonts are "safe" for use on the web and which will require special attention. You don't
have to worry about this though, since Web Studio takes care of doing the "special attention" without you even knowing it is
happening.

Here's what the Text Gallery is telling you...

Guess what? You don't have to worry about any of this stuff, because Web Studio takes care of it for you.

The Text Gallery and Choosing Fonts
Web Studio gives you the text controls you're familiar with in the Format Menu and the Format Toolbar. You can use these to change
font, size, style, color and more.

But when you want to do a visual "what if" with your text, the Text Gallery comes to the rescue. You simply browse through the
Gallery until you find a font you think may look good and then drag-and-drop in on your text. Doesn't look good? Keep on browsing and
dragging and dropping until it looks awesome. And remember, you can use Undo and Redo to compare fonts you've already tried!

Adding Hyperlinks to Text
To add a link to another page to your text, simply drag and drop the page's name from the Link Gallery. All of your page's links are added
to the Gallery automatically. And its not just your page links you add this way, any link in the Link Gallery can be added to text with a
drag and a drop.
Cool Text Effects with Web Studio
Another problem with the other programs is that they force you to use several other programs if you want to
get the kind of results you see on the web every day. Web Studio is designed to give you virtually everything
you need without having to purchase additional programs.

Web Studio has some really cool text effects that are as simple to do as everything else you've seen so far.

One of the amazing this is that you can use any of the Special FX in Web Studio on text as well as graphics.
This expands your creative possiblilities tremendously.

Textured Text
To create the texture filled text shown below, you simply drag-and-drop any texture from the Textures Gallery. The texture immediately
fills all of the black characters in the text. Only filling the black characters enables you to create even more effects you coloring some
characters and texturizing others.

Picture Text
To create the picture filled text shown below you have to do a bit more work, it takes more than a single drag-and-drop. But when you
think about it, even the advanced graphics programs costing hundreds of dollars make this a difficult chore. Web Studio still makes it an
easy three step task.

All you have to do is turn your text object into a graphic. You do this by Flipping it with the Flip special FX. Do this twice to get it right
side up. Next you make the transparent color for the object black. This makes it so you can see through the characters of text. Finally,
you place your pictures under the text object. You see the pictures through the characters!
