Welcome to Web Studio 5.0
This is the fourth in a series of emails designed to help you get the most out of your evaluation of Web Studio. Today you will learn about colors, shapes and inserting graphics.
Color
There are two color features. The first one is the color dialog that opens automatically when you click on a command that has a color choice. The backgrounds, shapes, link colors and text commands all have a color dialog. The second color feature is the Color command that allows you to change the color of other graphics on the page.
Color dialog

The Color dialog gives you unlimited color choices. One of the best features in the dialog is the eyedropper tool. When you use this tool, you are able to match any color on your computer screen.

Change Colors command
The Color command enables you to change the color of other objects, such as photos. First, select the object, then click on Create tab > Photos group > Change Colors. Use the levers in the dialog to change the hue, saturation, and luminance of the object.
Shapes
The Shapes commands are located in the Draw tab on the ribbon. Click on a Shape in the command to place it on the page. Select it and use the selection handles to resize the shape. After you select it, you can fill it with a solid fill color or a graduated fill color.
The Borders group has commands to choose a style and width for the border. If you don't want a border, choose None in the Width command.
You can change the color, fill, or borders anytime after you make a shape. Each of the Color commands have the eye dropper so you can match the colors.
Watch the Video Tutorials in the Draw tab and read Chapter 12: Color and Shapes for more information.
Inserting Graphics
Whether you create your own graphics in a separate program or you use one of the free sites on the internet, it is easy to insert outside graphics into Web Studio.
Here are some ways to insert graphics. Chapter 9: Working with Objects has all of the ways you can insert graphics.
