Welcome to Web Studio 5.0

Your trial ends in one more week!

This is the fifth in a series of emails designed to help you get the most out of your evaluation of Web Studio. Today you will learn about forms, shopping carts and media.
Forms Factory
If you have ever worked with forms you will thoroughly enjoy the complete Forms Factory in Web Studio. Without involving a third party, you can have fully functioning forms on your website.
One of the easiest ways to insert a form is to use a pre-made form from the Forms Gallery. Each form in the gallery was created using the commands in the Forms tab and the shapes in the Draw tab. This means that every part of the pre-made form can be changed and customized to your design and needs. There are even some fields in the gallery that we have populated for you, such as Countries, States, Time, etc.
If you want to create a form from scratch, just click on the Forms tab to see all of the forms available.
Watch the Video Tutorial and read Chapter 21: Forms Factory for more information.
Shopping Carts
Shopping carts are a function of hosting companies and usually require that you sign up for a hosting plan with an e-store that is linked to your website. However, Web Studio offers a PayPal shopping cart that allows you to accept PayPal payments without paying for an e-commerce site. The PayPal cart is excellent for small catalogs with simple purchases. If you need a larger, full-featured e-store, our partner, iHostStudio has affordable plans that have everything you need for e-commerce. If you already have an e-commerce plan with another hosting company, you can link that to your website.
PayPal
The PayPal Shopping Cart is located in the Create tab. Put your Buy Now button on the page, select it and then click PayPal > Add to Cart. This opens the PayPal dialog. If you do not have a PayPal account, there is a button that will take you to PayPal where you can open an account.
Watch the Video Tutorial and read Chapter 19: Shopping Carts for more information.
Media
Flash, Sound, Video
You can add a variety of media to your website with the Media group commands in the Insert tab. Web Studio enables you to add Flash, MIDI, MP4, and any of 16 different sound files and any of 13 different video files. There is even a link to insert a You Tube video.
Click on the Insert tab. The Media group has commands that insert Flash, Video and Sound to your website. Let's insert a Video:
1. Click on Insert tab > Media group > Video. This launches the Open dialog.
2. Select the video file and click Open.
3. Choose your options in the Add/Edit Video dialog, then click OK.
4. Click the Preview Page command to see the video in action.
Slide Shows
The Create tab contains a Slide Show group that offers several options to have slide shows on your website. You can create an Adobe Flash based slide show in Web Studio or link to an online slide show using one of our online Slide Show commands.
We have links to SmugMug, Flickr (Yahoo's free photo site) and Picasa (Google's free photo site. If you use one of these sites to create a slide show, use the commands in the Slide Shows group to link to these albums.
Watch the Video Tutorials and read Chapter 15: Media and Chapter 16: Slide Shows for more information.
